
Catherine Hand Singletary, 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at her home on December 21st, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John C. Hand and Marlys Hand.
She is survived by her sons, R. Adam Singletary (Kathryn) of Indianapolis and John Singletary of Florida. She is also survived by siblings Margaret Graham, John M. Hand (Joni), Susan Brundage (James), and Kevin Hand (Mary).
She was a graduate of Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis and took classes at Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis. She had worked throughout Indianapolis and Chicago in insurance, retail, and administration before retiring. Cathy was known for her devotion to family and enjoyed keeping up with family through phone and email correspondence. She was also an avid follower of news stories and current events. She was famed for her wit and humor at family functions. She also enjoyed Boyd’s Bears and collecting various memorabilia.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family after the new year.
